IGNITE YOUR AUTHENTIC LIGHT: INNER CRITIC & INNER CHAMPION
Tonight, looking at how you can turn that volume down on your inner critic, and the volume up on the inner champion that comes through your authentic voice with the deep wisdom that you hold.
As some supporting information from the session that I mentioned I would drop in here:
Types of inner critic that I mention in the session (I relate to ALL of these):
1. Perfectionist
Always striving for perfection - whether or not that exists.
Sets the highest standards and often wants you to keep going on a task until it is perfect.
Their need is to make you fit in and not be judged or rejected.
2. Inner Controller
Tries to control your impulses: eating, drinking, spending etc.
Tends to be harsh and shaming - thinks she is protecting you from yourself.
3. Taskmaster
Wants you to work hard and be successful - the mini boss in your mind.
Fears that you may be seen as mediocre or lazy or a failure if it does not push you to keep going.
4. Underminer
Undermines your self confidence and self esteem so that you won’t take risks and steps outside your comfort zone.
5. Destroyer
Attacks your self worth and makes you feel inherently flawed and not entitled to basic understanding or respect.
6. Guilt-Tripper
Stuck in the past and unable to forgive you for wrongs you have done or people you have hurt.
Tries to protect you from repeating past mistakes by making sure you never forget or feel free.
7. Conformist
Tries to get you to fit into a certain mould based on standards held by society, your culture or your family. Wants you to be liked and admired and to protect you from being abandoned, shamed or rejected.
AUTUMN ENERGY WORKSHOP
In this seasonal workshop, my intention is to ground you into this autumn energy as we explore the key themes of this season, how you can align into nature’s rhythms and creating your authentic and inspired guidance and intentions for the season ahead.
Within the workshop, I guide you through journal prompts. For ease, they are also written here:
Theme 1: Connection
What brings me joy in autumn?
What are my personal autumn joys that I can connect to this season?
Theme 2: Gratitude
What am I most grateful for in my life right now and why?
What personal harvest am I celebrating this autumn?
How can I share my abundance with others?
Theme 3: Letting go
What do I need to let go of in order to grow next spring? What in my life no longer serves me?
What inspired action steps can I take, starting from today release these?
Theme 4: Preparation for winter and finding balance
Close your eyes for a second, drop into your body. Ask your body - what do I need this autumn? See what comes up.
What can I do to sync my energy and habits into autumn and winter?
How is the balance in my life? What changes do I need to make to prioritise me and my balance?
Theme 5: Autumn intentions
Close your eyes, breathe deeply up into your heart space. Ask yourself:
How do I want to transform this autumn?
What do I want to create this autumn?
What action steps can I take, starting from tomorrow towards these?
How can I ensure I make the space I need to achieve these?
MINDFULNESS BONUS CONTENT
In this short bonus mini masterclass, I take you through two simple and powerful mindfulness exercises that can bring you back into presence in minutes.
OCTOBER oracle card pull
Oracle cards are powerful tools to hone our intuition. By reflecting upon the messages that come through for each of us from the card. Therefore in my reading, I give a bit of brief summary on what the card means and then it’s over to you to look inwards, ask questions and see what is coming up. Tune into that authentic voice and trust your instinct on what is coming up.
If you have an oracle deck, or want to get one, then this Well + Good article is a great reference for how to get started with this intuitive practice.
Imrana:
Imrana is a Celtic word that means journey of the soul. While our conscious mind doesn’t know the path ahead, our soul knows the way. This card calls us onto our soul aligned path - to trust and believe in the path ahead and the power of your journey if you listen to your heart and soul.
Journal prompts for this card:
Close your eyes, take some deep breaths, come into your body and listen to your heart. Ask yourself - what journey am I being called to? What is most important to me in my life? What is my soul purpose and my truth?
From this place, journal on your vision and intentions. And remember - you might not be able to see all of the steps… Just see what flows, the visualise and really feel it in every cell of your body (and potentially deeper at a soul level).
Are there any inspired action steps that you can identify to support you in taking courageous steps on this path? Write them down and make a commitment to take that first step.
This card is from Rebecca Campbell’s ‘Work Your Light’ deck.
