3 ways I guide my clients to reconnect

As I reflect and celebrate on my first full year in business, my heart immediately connects to the energy and accomplishments of the brilliant Conscious Connected Leaders who I have had the honour of coaching in the past year.

Here are 3 proven steps of reconnection that I guide Conscious Connected Leaders through to help them thrive in every sense of the word.

1. Reconnect to your joys

Joy is a foundational area of my coaching method, and has always been a signature of my leadership... Even when we're spinning on a big launch, how can we also find the joy in the moment, celebrate where we are, have a laugh and not take things too seriously. Finding a joyful flow that ALWAYS delivers.

Some of my corporate leadership clients have looked at me as if I was from another planet bringing joy into their first leadership coaching session. It amazes me how often joy and play are deprioritised in our work culture. But who wouldn't want to bring more joy, play and fun into everything that they do?

I know how fundamental connecting into the joys in all aspects of life are to our reconnection. This step is simple - find your joys, prioritise them and make sure you are fully present for them each and every day.

Ask yourself, what joys make me thrive each day? Don't just look for the moments that happen once a week, month or in a blue moon. This is all about the simple joys in life. The ones that are probably jumping up and trying to get your attention, but you're going through the motions on disconnected autopilot. Find them, connect into them, find presence through them and then see where purposefully choosing more joy can take you.

2. Reconnect to your true self

I have worked with many clients who, after a decade plus in the entertainment & media industries have lost sight of who they truly are... Compounded by the very specific boxes that we think we have to fit into - leading us to creating a work or social mask which is hiding our truth.

As a result, I have worked with clients find themselves in a very grey space where nothing lights them up, and they can't imagine what might make them go YES as they jump out of bed each morning.

The first step on this path is also connecting into the joys that make you thrive. Plus we look at the flip side of this and see what is not aligned. Ask yourself what makes you sigh each and every day? Bring awareness and presence to these, so that you can make any realignments, let go's, boundaries or anything else that you need to consciously shift the daily dial from sigh to thrive.

3. Reconnect to nature & community

I believe deeply that the root of many of the problems in the world are grounded in our disconnection from nature and community. In my own path, and the path I have walked with leaders through my nature connection work, I can see how transformational this reconnection can be. Walking your path of nature and community connection will transform the way you see the world, how you show up and the energy that you give and receive.

The reality is that we live in a web of interconnections. And as much as our culture tries to preach the cult of individualism, our disconnect from this web will not bring us the joy, fulfilment and purpose that we crave.

This journey starts simple. Prioritise time in nature each day and use the awe of nature to bring you into deep presence and connection.
